EXPLANATION:
West Chester Borough Council holds a regular
voting session on the third Wednesday of each month. To
prepare, they hold a work session the day before, and
committee meetings on Monday and Tuesday of the preceding
week. Council also holds special sessions when more
time is needed for a particular item.
Usually, three council members discuss an item at a committee
meeting and make a recommendation to the full council, which
discusses it at the work session. Items on which there is
agreement are placed on the "Consent Agenda" for Wednesday
night's voting session, while items on which there is
disagreement are placed on the "Discussion Agenda."
